The City of San Jose holds aN ANNUAL Fantasy of Lights Tour between Thanksgiving and Jan 2. This year the City held a HOLIDAY GREETING CARD CONTEST for the youth of city community groups.
It’s difficult to know where to begin when looking at all the good things that have been accomplished by the Community United San Jose Chapter of Happy House. At the heart of their success is The Good Choices Program being delivered to youth who live in areas that are deemed “hot spots” of crime, drugs and gang activity.
On Saturday, August 25, 2012, Community United San José hosted their 2nd Annual Charity Golf Tournament. Last year’s event was a success, with 64 players, but then this year, 106 golfers showed up to play!
On September 9th, while attending The Way to Happiness Convention in Glendale, CA, Donna Stewart, ED of San Jose Community United, was proud to receive a surprise recognition of the OUTSTANDING LOVE AND HELP CHILDREN AWARD 2012 from Dr. Joni Ginsberg, ED of TWTH Foundation International.
On September 10th, Happy House opened a new Good Choices Group in Salinas, California delivering the How to Make Good Choices Program to a mixture of students and adults.
Thanks to you and the volunteers from Happy House, the San Fernando Valley Coalition on Gangs held a successful Salute to Kids, which featured more than forty agencies offering their, while providing a day of entertainment and activities for the families in the Canoga Park area.
