The Seattle How to Make Good Choices Kids Club at the Northwest Folklife Festival

Jun 6, 2013

“For over 40 years Northwest Folklife has produced the annual Northwest Folklife Festival, a celebration of musical and artistic traditions at Seattle Center that is now the nation’s largest free community arts festival.”

On May 26th 2013, members of the Happy House Seattle Chapter went to the festival and gave booklets to children and adults alike. They donated $1 dollar and a booklet to approximately 20 musical performers. This year they also had a sign for free booklets and were approached by many people requesting booklets.

Many good conversations were had about The Way to Happiness. And the How to Make Good Choices Kids’ Club really starting to make their group better known in Seattle.

The forecast called for rain all day, but as usual during these events, it ended up being a beautiful, sunny afternoon in Seattle. The rain drops started up again right as they were wheeling their wagon out of the festival!
